Butterfly border

Hello everyone

So ok I did say that I was going to use other pads other than the LOTV promises one but one of my favorite blogs, the Ribbon Girl has just set a challenge to make a card in shades of lilac, so what can I do. Also I didn't have much spare time today and needed a pad  I knew would work well together.

  

                             
                             Here it is standing up, I just love my new Kensington die It is so delicate.

                                 
                          So very quick and easy to make and yet I think it is very effective

In the Pink

Hello friends
A very quick post this evening to show you that I can use other pads and colours other than the Promises purple one.  This one is from the country Lady collection using the same wonderful stamp as before but looking a little different I hope.  It is for my sister in Laws birthday and I wanted something fresh and summery I hope I achieved that.

 I used the floral vines embossing folder for the frame and mounted the image on foam pads

 A side angle to show the dimensions/

The stamp was coloured with my spectrum noir pens as I love them.

Butterfly die was from Memory box {Pipi}and the Kensington boarder, just love their dies.

                                                      I die cut a flower from an x cut set

Just a few pearls and it was all done, I am finding that I have to make myself walk away from adding more embelishments, the CAS style does not come easy to me.

Butterfly's and Baskets

Hello to all my crafty friends, hope you all have been enjoying the sunshine today, I know I have.  Just wanted to share another of my Clean and Simple cards that I have been working on recently.

 It is a new style for me, I must admit I do love my bling and embellishments, but I am really enjoying them although I have to ban myself from keeping on adding to the card and have not allowed myself to use any of my favourite paper roses and flowers.

I have used again my favourite pad from Lili of the valley The lovely Promises pad and added an embossed frame.  The image is also LOTV, coloured with my spectrum noir pens.

  I decided to cut out the butterfly's separately and mount them on foam pads.

  The flower is one that I made using a die my lovely friend Karen has lent to me and considering I didn't have a clue what I was doing I am very pleased with how it turned out.  However Karen s are far far better so I will have to get her to show me how she does it.

 The butterflys are cut using a memory box die and the sentiment is from spelbinders.

Just a few of my favourite pearls and the name of the birthday girl, and it is all finished ready for my daughters friends birthday.   Hope you like it and it gives you some ideas

A Very Bare Bear

Hello to everyone out there in Blog land, 

I just stopped by with a quick card I have to show you using the gorgeous Lili of the valley stamp 

James Daisy.

It is my first attempt at CAS, and goodness it was so hard for me.  Think I may still have got a little carried away with my flowers  however but I was really good and stayed clear of ribbon and pearls and all other embellishments.

James was coloured with my spectrum noir pens, using the dot technique as I have done previously. The papers are from the Promises pad from LOTV.

Just a few die cut daises to embellish with buttons of course

A stamped greeting and a bow to balance it out

I am pleased with the finished result but it was so hard not to reach for the paper roses and bling, hope you like it. Many thanks for the pics which were taken by my lovely daughter Beth as I didn't have time, before I sent it off. She takes much better photos than me I am sure you will agree.
